QA Manual Tester
Location: Mumbai, India
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced QA Manual Tester to join our team, specializing in the stock trading domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of stock trading platforms, order management systems, and market data feeds. As a QA Manual Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our trading applications through comprehensive testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
● Test Planning and Strategy:
○ Develop and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
○ Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand the trading domain and feature specifications.
● Manual Testing:
○ Execute manual test cases to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of trading applications.
○ Perform end-to-end testing of trading systems, including order placement, execution, and settlement processes.
○ Validate market data feeds, order management systems, and other trading components.
○ Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected by new changes.
● Defect Management:
○ Identify, document, and track defects using [Insert Defect Tracking Tool, e.g., JIRA].
○ Work closely with the development team to reproduce, isolate, and resolve issues.
○ Provide clear and concise defect reports with steps to reproduce, expected results, and screenshots.
● Domain-Specific Testing:
○ Test various trading scenarios including limit orders, market orders, stop-loss, and other advanced trading strategies.
○ Validate real-time data feeds for accuracy, latency, and performance.
○ Test trading platform functionalities under different market conditions (e.g., high volatility, low liquidity).
● Collaboration and Reporting:
○ Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings as part of the Agile team.
○ Provide regular test execution reports and QA status updates to stakeholders.
○ Collaborate with automation testers to identify areas for automation and improve test coverage.
● Continuous Improvement:
○ Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
○ Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in QA and the stock trading domain.
Required Qualifications:
● Experience:
○ 2+ years of experience in manual testing, preferably within the stock trading or financial services domain.
○ Strong knowledge of trading systems, stock markets, and financial instruments.
○ Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
● Skills:
○ Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
○ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
○ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
○ Familiarity with SQL and the ability to write basic queries for data validation.
○ Basic understanding of automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
● Education:
○ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience with financial protocols such as FIX (Financial Information Exchange).
● Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in trading.
● Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman.
● Experience in performance testing and knowledge of performance testing tools.
